Norway to launch 'Fjord Trout' in UK market

The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) is to launch the premium trout it's marketing as "Fjord Trout" into the UK market in 2016, in both restaurants and retail along with partners.

“Last year I think we exported 400 metric tons of fjord trout into the UK but we expect to double that in 2016,” Jack-Robert Moller, director UK for NSC, told IntraFish.

“And I hope that in five years time we should see around 2,500 to 3,000 metric tons of fjord trout from Norway in the UK.”
