Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) is impressed with the appetite for salmon in Asia, and particularly China, but the market needs to open up a bit first, according to CEO John Binde.
When Binde presented NRS’ figures for the third quarter Tuesday he had just returned from the China Seafood and Fisheries Expo in Dalian, China.
“We participated there for the first time six years ago, and at that time were the only Norwegian participant. The following year we were six. Now all the salmon companies attend there -- and many of the whitefish players,” Binde told IntraFish.
