The meeting will be held Nov. 26 in the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs with attendance by technical authorities, the industry, expertise milieus and investors in research.

The main reason for the meeting is to establish a common platform for status in regard to salmon lice, which includes an understanding for the need of future initiatives.

“There has been a substantial change in the salmon lice situation lately,” said Berg-Hansen.

“If the aquaculture industry is to achieve long-term, sustainable growth, we have to find solutions to this problem.
