The message from exporters and producers across Norway was unanimous today: prices are set to rise sharply next week as most Norwegians go off on Easter holiday.
Here are the prices according to three producers and one exporter IntraFish spoke to:
- For salmon over 3 kilos: NOK 44 (€5.58/$8.12) - NOK 45 (€5.71/$8.30) per kilo
Another exporter said salmon over 3 kilos was selling at NOK 43 (€5.46/$7.94) per kilo, with prices up to NOK 44 (€5.58/$8.12) in Oslo.
Norway exported some 17,000 metric tons of salmon per week in week 10 and 11 this year (March 7-20).
