Norwegian officials say the ruling is an unambiguous order for the European Commission to drop the salmon tariff.
“We cannot see any other outcome in the ruling, other than for the commission to remove the antidumping measures,” said Helge Seland, a law advisor to the Norwegian Foreign Affairs Ministry, told IntraFish. “There is nothing in the ruling that gives them any other options.”
EU Trade Commission spokesman Peter Mandelson recently confirmed the price regime would likely be kept in place, albeit in a modified form.
