“This isn’t just any documentary, but blatant propaganda against fish farming, full of errors, with a biased angle and highly questionable reference to research,” Are Kvistad, information director for the Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL) after attending the film’s premiere last week in Oslo.
“Farmed Salmon Exposed” makes a head-on attack against Norwegian marine farming. Behind it are notorious opponents of salmon farming, such as Don Staniford from the Pure Salmon Campaign, and Canadian Damien Gillis, who has made similar films.
Originally, FHL did not want to attend the showing.
