Norway antibiotics use ‘was never twice as bad’ as Chile

Svein Hallbjorn Steien, senior advisor and veterinary (AVSF) in Innovation Norway, hit back at claims from Chile that Norway used to use twice as much antibiotics as Chile uses now in its salmon farming industry.

In an interview on CNN Chile on Friday, Cesar Barros, president of SalmonChile, defended the use of antibiotics as necessary to prevent bacterial illnesses.
