Beginning in September, retail giant Aldi will be testing recyclable cardboard sleeves instead of plastic on its canned tuna products across 270 stores, reported Packaging News.
The trial will go on for four months, and, if successful, the sleeve will be rolled out nationally to more than 830 UK stores.
Aldi is one of several UK retailers that has committed to reducing the use of plastic packaging by 2023.
