The CEO of Japanese seafood giant Nippon Suisan Kaisha (Nissui) is not shy about the company’s plans for further growth, and said future global acquisitions are inevitable for the group.
In an exclusive interview with IntraFish, Akiyo Matono, president and CEO of the group, said acquisitions and access to marine resources, both in wild fisheries and aquaculture, “is an eternal purpose for us.
“I am interested in all kinds of international products which are of a certain size or scale, and also processing that adds value onto raw materials,” he told IntraFish.
