Rumors about a potential merger between Greece's two biggest seabream and seabass producers have been flying thick and fast for quite some time, but Antonis Chachlakis, CEO of Nireus, is now clarifying: A merger with Selonda "is not going to happen -- at least not in the near future."
Chacklakis told IntraFish there are a number of issues to tackle "before we can start talking about a merger again."
Last week, the company announced its third-quarter results, which showed "things are moving in the right direction," Chachlakis said.
