New Zealand King Salmon’s expanded aquaculture operation in New Zealand’s Marlborough Sounds is beginning its permitting application process with positive government feedback: the project has been deemed a project of national significance.
The designation allows the company's application to be sent directly to an independent board of inquiry.
If successful, the company believes it can double production in three to five years and create 120 new jobs in the region.
