New Qatar Airways cargo service to New York, Nova Scotia a boon for seafood exports

Qatar Airways Cargo is launching new freighter services to New York (JFK) and Halifax, Nova Scotia that will help increase shipments of lobster and other seafood products, reports Stat Times.

Services to New York and Halifax will fly every Wednesday from Luxembourg, Qatar Airways' new European hub, operated with a Boeing 777-200 freighter with a capacity of 103 metric tons.

“From their strategic geographical positions, not only will the new service provide our customers with great access to the Americas’ marketplace, it will allow us to share one of region’s most sumptuous exports with the world,” said Ulrich Ogiermann, chief officer cargo at Qatar Airways.
