The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) appointed Stefanie Kirse (pictured left) its new program director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland as of Aug. 1 this year, a spokesperson at the organization told IntraFish.
Kirse is replacing Marnie Bammert, who left the organization in late April this year after a 10-year tenure.
Kirse previously worked as a policy advisor on agricultural trade and private sector cooperation for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a German agency for international cooperation.
