“No, I don’t like the low prices. Next time around we will be faced with the low salmon prices when we are selling our products,” Morpol CEO Jerzy Malek told IntraFish, after the company held an extraordinary general meeting in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday.
Salmon prices – delivered to plants in Europe – should be €3.5 ($4.8) to €4.0 ($5.5), which is NOK 27 (€3.5/$4.8) to NOK 31 (€4/$5.5) per kilo (with a rate of exchange of 7.75), Malek said.
This is equivalent to a price in Oslo of NOK 26 (€3.3/$4.6)
