That’s according to Norway Pelagic chairman Sigurd Teige, in an interview with IntraFish. Sales are expected to improve from around NOK 2.5 billion (€300 million/$425 million) to NOK 3.5 billion (€420 million/$595 million).

Throughout, Norway Pelagic’s aim has been to create a more profitable structure in Norwegian pelagic industry, which has battled with over-capacity the last decade.

Teige said Norway Pelagic is out after identifying and harvesting good synergy effects between Austevoll Seafood’s pelagic industry and their own.

“Purchasing and sales are tasks that naturally are coordinated in Norway Pelagic,” said Teige.

He
