The managing director of Farne Salmon & Trout, the UK-division of Labeyrie Fine Foods, has left the business, sources told IntraFish.

William Duncanson is no longer managing director of Farne, two sources said.

Neither knew under what circumstances Duncanson left the business, which slipped into the red in its 2011 financial year, as it was hit by a strong hike in salmon raw material prices and a poor economic situation.

Craig Walker, managing director of Labeyrie Fine Foods' UK operations, was not available for comment at the time of publication.
