UK retailers need to make sure they continue to upskill and develop as today the stakes are higher than ever, according to Hannah MacIntyre, fisheries and aquaculture manager at Marks & Spencer (M&S).
And as these expectations grow, so does the responsibility of the retailer to know everything about every ingredient and the steps it has been through in the supply chain, she said, while speaking at the World Seafood Congress in Grimsby last week.
“We need to make sure what is says on the packet is what they get,” MacIntyre said.
Following
