In the company’s 2011 first quarter results, Marine Harvest announced that many of its customers were still showing interest in entering contracts in 2011 at prices of up to NOK 40 (€5.12/$7.36) per kilo. At the time, it was estimated that around 49 percent of its sales had been sold on contracts already.
“We expect a substantial increase in our harvest volumes and have already secured a high contract share on prices up to NOK 40 per kilo for 2011,” it said in its annual report.
