Marine Harvest's volumes of harvested salmon rose in the third quarter of 2018 but earnings per kilo fell.

Overall harvests were up 15 percent year on year to 110,000 metric tons, thanks in large part to a 30 percent increase in the company's Norwegian volumes which rose to 71,500 metric tons in the quarter.

Other increases were seen from the company's Canadian and Faroese operations, which rose 14 percent to 12,500 metric tons and 50 percent to 1,500 metric tons, respectively.
