“We won’t be receiving an answer from the Veterinary Institute on the samples until the end of the week, but we have nonetheless started slaughtering stock at the site,” Communications Director Jorgen Christiansen told IntraFish.
On Friday, Marine Harvest reported its suspicion of PD at a site on the southeast shore of Smola. The farm site lies five kilometers from another site where PD was detected this summer.
“We haven’t had official confirmation of PD, but are certain it has the virus," said Christiansen.
