Marine Harvest seeks stricter regulations

In a New Year’s interview, IntraFish has asked a number of personalities from the industry – including Marine Harvest’s Group CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog – some questions.

IntraFish: What is your view of the steady stream of new regulations and demands on the Norwegian aquaculture industry? Are they necessary?

Alf-Helge Aarskog: An industry that constantly raises its level of professionalism, must expect to comply with new regulations. We at Marine Harvest have asked for stricter regulations where it makes sense. The challenge is to ensure that the regulation is both strict and astute at the same time.
