During the last two years chicken producers have launched more than 2,700 new products. This is more than double as launched by salmon producers. Cod is a long way behind with just 267 new products.
That’s according to Jo Dekeyzer, managing director of Marine Harvest’s subsidiary for value-added processing, Marine Harvest VAP Europe.
Last week, he was a keynote speaker at the finance seminar at the Nor-Fishing exhibition in Trondheim, Norway. The organizers of the seminar were the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) and Nordea.
