“I’m surprised that Len Stewart of Cooke Aquaculture said there have been consignments of salmon fillets sold in the United States at below European market price,” Communications Director Jorgen Christiansen told IntraFish.

“The trend is clearly heading in the direction of a global salmon market, with subsequent global price fixing. When we calculate the price in the various markets, and deduct freight costs, the picture we see indicates we are heading toward one global price. That’s also actually how we calculate when we sell.
