Marine Harvest has sold its 25.82 percent shareholding in Grieg Seafood for more than NOK 1.14 billion (€122.7 million/$137.7 million), according to a stock exchange announcement.

After the transaction, Marine Harvest holds no shares in Grieg Seafood.

The company bought the 28,826,736 shares in Grieg Seafood originally in November 2013 for NOK 22 (€2.40/$2.60) per share -- representing 25.82 percent of the company -- and has since entered into a series of forward agreements.

Marine Harvest on May 18 acquired the shares in Grieg Seafood from DNB and Nordea under the set of forward contracts announced on February 16, but then on May 19 sold them at a price of NOK 39.75
