In a response to the fisheries and coastal affairs ministry hearing, Marine Harvest Norway offered some rather drastic proposals.
The intention is to reduce the risk connected to fish health and lice in the long term. The company wishes to avoid situations the kind of which emerged this autumn.
The company stated that well-boats are a source of infection for lice and disease. In the response reference is made to the fact the industry mainly uses well-boats that operate with open valves.
