Ottawa-based Dom International is recalling its “Dom Reserve” line of hot smoked Atlantic salmon strips with cracked pepper from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The May 5 recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which it said may lead to the recall of other products.

Consumers are being advised not consume the recalled products sold in 150-gram packs with various best-before dates under the Universal Product Code (UPC) number 7 72945 11150 8.
