With another bumper pink salmon harvest in Alaska this year, it is expected that prices will start to fall again, opening doors for an increase in consumption and sales in some of the major markets such as the United Kingdom.
The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) is poised to take advantage of the situation and is already planning a number of multi channel campaigns and promotions.
“Softer prices will help to restore volumes in cans and gives us the opportunity to promote and be active in that arena,” Jon Harman, head of trade relations Northern Europe for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), told IntraFish.
“It
