Scotland-based LandCatch has historically been known globally for its research-based production of eggs and smolts; it was not known for its customer relations.
After Hendrix Genetics, a Danish global feed supplier, took its first step into aquaculture with its purchase of LandCatch last June, Landcatch paid for outside market research on its performance and found that 93 percent of customers were satisfied with the product and the company’s scientific expertise, but management received dissatisfactory ratings. At that point, Hendrix made plans to replace the company's previous management team.
