Niri Seafood’s Ireland branch is awaiting approval for its plan to produce 3,300 metric tons of salmon in a closed containment facility on Ireland’s Reen Point.

The plan comes on the scene as Marine Harvest Ireland awaits approval of its own marine salmon farm in the same area, at Bantry Bay, reports the Southern Star.
