Construction on a 450-metric ton capacity closed-containment Atlantic salmon farm in the Canadian province of British Columbia is on the verge of completion, with 23,000 smolts ready to go into the water in January.

There are two more smolt additions planned for 2013, and it will take time to reach full capacity, but the project is on the fast track to getting fish to market.
