The top executive at Alaskan salmon processor Kwik'pak said the company will produce fish as normal this upcoming season despite a devastating fire that ripped through several of the company's buildings over the weekend in Emmonak.

Kwik'pak General Manager Jack Schultheis told IntraFish the fire damaged buildings housing the company's offices and worker bunks, but none that were essential to the processing of the fish.

"It's horrendous, but we can still produce this summer, and we have every intention of operating normally," Schultheis said.
