John West is targeting value-added growth in its home market of the United Kingdom with some new pink salmon products.
The company started with a “limited launch” of the products in Tesco in October but has plans to roll them out further into other major retailers such as Sainsbury's and Waitrose over the next couple of months, with a general launch beginning in 2014.
The "Season and Stir" wild Pacific pink salmon range comes in three flavors: lemon and pepper, tandoori, and sweet and sour.
