The range will be available “in a number of leading [UK] retailers,” John West said.
It will consist of tinned tuna chunks in 185-gram boxes and in packs of three 185-gram boxes, sold at a recommended retail price of £1.59 (€1.79/$2.6) and £2.09 (€2.36/$3.42) respectively.
In January, John West pledged to source 20 percent of its U.K. tuna branded products from pole and line sources by August 2011. Now the company expects to source 25 percent of all its U.K. tuna sales by pole and line by 2012 -- and the company said.
