Joe Bundrant, the son of Trident Seafoods founder and Chairman Chuck Bundrant, has been named the new CEO of the company, according to an internal memorandum obtained by IntraFish.
The memo, sent to Trident employees Nov. 4 by Chuck Bundrant, said Joe Bundrant would assume the role following the retirement of Paul Padgett, who served as president since January 2008.
In his new role, Joe Bundrant will report directly to Chuck Bundrant and the other members of the board of directors.
When asked for comment on the new role, Joe Bundrant said the company has a policy not to discuss personnel moves publicly, and that his appointment is only another step in the history of Trident's success as an organization.
