While it is still one of the biggest seafood consuming nations worldwide, the concept of sustainability has still not quite caught on in Japan, according to industry experts.
Speaking at a session at this month’s Seafood Summit in Malta, panelists agreed there is much to be done in Japan, and collectively called for action.
However, it will be difficult, said Ana Chang, founder and principal researcher at Concept Hatchery.
