Danny Burton, who left UK processor Five Star Fish in March 2011, is set to make a return to the seafood business, backed by Iceland Seafood International (ISI).
The Reykjavik-based trading group, which reported revenue of €411 million ($503.9 million) in 2011, is backing Burton in a processing venture with an undisclosed stake.
Helgi Anton Eiriksson, CEO of ISI, confirmed ISI’s involvement, but referred IntraFish to Burton for details.
Burton told IntraFish he is not yet ready to talk publicly on the plans.
