Salmon tainted with infectious salmon anemia (ISA) was reportedly sold to China without the Norwegian government's knowledge, a move that led to the Norwegian salmon industry being shut out of the Chinese market.

Two companies in Nordland county -- Isqueen and Lofoten Sjoprodukter -- are suspected of neglecting to report outbreaks of infectious salmon anemia (ISA) to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA).

The NFSA has promised to come down hard on the companies, and will be reporting them to the police.
