Russia is once again threatening to close its borders to imports of Norwegian salmon and trout, according to the Russian fisheries website Ryba Kamtsjatskovo Kraja Thursday.
Sergei Dankvert, head of the Russian veterinary service Rosselhoznadzor has written a new letter to the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs. In his letter he complained the Norwegians have not initiated effective measures to eliminate breaches of veterinary and sanitary criteria which are stipulated in the Customs Union statutes between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
