Norway has big expectations from its recently "normalized" relationship with China, with one of its main priorities being gaining back its salmon market share in the country, Per Sandberg, Norway's minister of fisheries told IntraFish during a recent visit to London.
“Earlier this month, I talked to some Chinese representatives and they said they are not getting enough salmon and want to increase imports,” Sandberg said.
“We hope more volumes will come from Norway, because since the relationship came to a halt, Chile has taken a big portion of the market share.”
