Vancouver-based seafood supplier Albion Fisheries’ alliance with sister company Intercity Packers is a potential blueprint for a nationwide expansion for the group, according to Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Guy Dean.
Gordon Foodservice, parent company of both Albion and Intercity,decided earlier this year to bring the two companies together under a new name, Albion Farms and Fisheries, after a long period of analyzing client portfolios and realizing that increasingly, customers were overlapping, receiving deliveries from both divisions or had the potential to support each other in reaching new markets, Dean told IntraFish.
