Iran will produce around 30,000 metric tons of shrimp in the current fiscal year, according to Secretary General of Iran's Fisheries Union Ali Akbar Khodaei, reports Mehr News.

The official made the remarks recalling that in the previous Iranian calendar year, a total of 21,000 metric tons of shrimp had been produced, 14,000 metric tons of which had been exported.
