On Jan. 21, IntraFish reported that Frode Teigen owned 33.7 million shares in Codfarmers. Now figures from the Oslo Stock Exchange show that he owns nearly 36.9 million shares, representing 24.6 percent of total shares.
Teigen bought more of his shares from the insurance company Protector, which invested in Codfarmers as part of an insurance payment following a fire in a slaughterhouse.
He also owns shares in Atlantic Cod Farms -- something which fuelled speculation that the two firms could be merged.
