There were mixed fortunes for salmon prices in Norway and Chile last week, with those in Norway spiking while in Chile they continued on a downward path.
Norwegian salmon prices jumped NOK 2 (€0.21/$0.24) per kilogram on some sizes according to exporters, turning around a steady slide over the past several weeks.
Spot prices FOB in southern Norway were around NOK 20 (€2.10/$2.30) per kg for the smaller sizes of 1-2 kg; NOK 30 (€3.20/$3.50) per kilo for sizes 2-3 kg; NOK 40 (€4.20/$4.70)
