French seafood processor Capitaine Houat expects to start partial production at its new factory in July or August, roughly a year after a fire destroyed its old plant in Lorient, its new CEO said.

Shrimp cooking will be first to resume at the new site, while fishmongering and fresh fish processing will start in late October, Bruno Glaharic told IntraFish.

Spread across a 4.2 hectare site in Lanester near Lorient in Brittany, the new factory will entirely replace the plant that burnt down on Aug.
