Rutherford joins Icelandic from investment business Boparan Private Office. Ranjit Boparan is also owner of the Two Sisters Food Group.
Rutherford has spent his entire career working in the food industry, including a number of roles at Young’s Seafood and the Findus Group.
Icelandic Seachill's current finance director, Richard Bales, announced his plans for retirement. Bales will remain in the business until April 2016.
