Icelandic Iberica will emerge as a stronger company after the acquisition by Solo Seafood, a company owned by established Icelandic seafood suppliers, Hjorleifur Asgeirsson, CEO at Icelandic Iberica, told IntraFish.

The deal means better access to raw material for Icelandic Iberica, and better access to markets for Solo Seafood, he said during the Groundfish Forum in Hamburg last week.
