Visir has come a long way since its beginnings in 1965 -- after more than 50 years in business, the group of today is one of the leaders in the Icelandic whitefish sector.
After investments at is processing facilities in Grindavik, the focus now is on getting more value out of its raw materials, capturing new "niche" markets, and finishing off the refitting of its five longliners, Erla Osk Petursdottir, quality and development manager at Visir, told IntraFish.
"We're a market-driven company," she said.
