Funding into Icelandic marine research and aquaculture will increase, thanks to a budget proposal announced by the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture.

A total of ISK 175 million (€1.3 million/$1.4 million) will go to improving administrative, control and health requirements in aquaculture, mainly by setting up an electronic gateway.
