A new mutual understanding of how important it is to tackle Chile's antibiotic usage will save the industry, according to many, with hopes riding on Pharmaq's new vaccine, set to be widely implemented this year.
“Without a doubt, it is possible to eliminate antibiotic in salmon farming, and that’s where the industry is headed,” Alfredo Tello, managing director at SalmonChile's Technological Salmon Institute (Intesal), told IntraFish.
