Salmon farmer Hofseth International is opening a new factory in Aalesund, Norway, in June, Roger Hofseth, CEO and majority owner of Hofseth International, told IntraFish.
The company wants to increase its focus on the supply of fresh salmon with the move.
Earlier in March, it became public that Japanese firm Yokohama Reito Co.'s parent company, Alliance Seafoods, acquired Norway-based Syvde Eiendom from Hofseth International.
Yokohama Reito Group already works with Hofseth on the sales and marketing of Norwegian salmon into Japanese, US and European markets.
